چکیده

Geometric calculus is shown to unite vectors, spinors, and complex numbers into a single mathematical system with a comprehensive geometric significance. The efficacy of this calculus in physical applications is explicitly demonstrated. [Note: The terms “multivector algebra” and “multivector calculus” originally used in this paper have been replaced throughout by the terms “geometric algebra” and “geometric calculus,” which have since become standard terms.]

Motivated by recent experiments that detects Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM) interaction in , we study the effects of DM interaction on magnetic orders of J1-J2 antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model. First, we find the classical phase diagram of the model using Luttinger-Tisza approximation. In this approximation, the classical phase diagram has two phases. For , the model has canted Neel and DM intera...

From Pure Spinor Geometry to Quantum Physics: A Mathematical Way

In the search of a mathematical basis for quantum mechanics, in order to render it self-consistent and rationally understandable, we find that the best approach is to adopt É. Cartan’s way for discovering spinors; that is to start from 3-dimensional null vectors and then show how they may be represented by two dimensional spinors. We have now only to go along this path, however in the opposite ...

A Non-Demolition Photon Counting Method by Four-Level Inverted Y-Type Atom

The semi-classical model of atom-field interaction has been fully studied for some multilevel atoms, e.g. Vee, L, Cascade X , Y, and inverted Y and so on. This issue is developed into the full-quantum electrodynamics formalism, where the probe and coupling electromagnetic fields are quantized. In this article, we investigate the full-quantum model of absorption and dispersion spectrum of trappe...

From Pure Spinors to Quantum Physics and to Some Classical Field Equations like Maxwell’s and Gravitational

Abstract In a previous paper [1] we proposed a purely mathematical way to quantum mechanics based on Cartan’s simple spinors in their most elementary form of 2 components spinors. Here we proceed along that path proposing, this time, a symmetric tensor, quadrilinear in simple spinors, as a candidate for the symmetric tensor of general relativity. The procedure resembles closely that in which on...

Some Basic Aspects of Fractional Quantum Numbers1

Spin is already a great unifying principle in theoretical physics, but its potential is far from exhausted. Here I discuss – very concisely – the role of spin in particle physics, in space-time physics, and in ideas for unified field theories. I then discuss spin as an emergent property, as it arises in connection with abelian and nonabelian anyons. I regret that I was unable prepare a proper r...
